About Mauro
Fifteen years across 5-star hotels and Michelin-starred kitchens in Italy and the UK - including The Landmark London and JW Marriott Venice - gave Mauro an uncompromising understanding of what excellence looks like in a professional kitchen. In 2023, that expertise was put to the test on a national stage and he was named Winner of Bake Off: The Professionals.
The technical foundation came from CAST Alimenti in Brescia, where he trained under some of the greatest names in European pastry. The passion, however, started earlier - with his father's ice cream shop in Sondrio, Lombardy, open since 1981 and still trading today.
Di Lieto Patisserie is built on these standards and the deep understanding of what professional luxury kitchens need.
Winner of
Bake Off: The Professionals 2023
Bake Off: The Professionals is the UK's toughest test for professional pastry chefs — and in 2023, Mauro won it. Twelve pairs. Eight challenges. Five months of intense competition. Up against teams from The Dorchester and Harwoods Patisserie, Mauro and his teammate were crowned winners of the eighth series on Channel 4.
